Our Ministries embody the work of our Commissions. The Commissions involve as many parishioners as possible in the planning and execution of the mission and vision of Christ Church. Any parishioner who has an interest in the work of specific commissions are invited to participate in the life of that organization.
Christian Education Growing Christians of all ages in both their knowledge and their faith.

The
Christian Education Ministry supports and evaluates Christian Education and Christian Formation programs for children, youth, and adults.
Communications Commission Facilitating communication both within the Parish and the local community.
Chair: Doreen P. Fagiano.
The Communications Commission uses a variety of means to communicate both within the Parish and out to our larger Spotsylvania Courthouse community.
Episcopal Church Men Supporting the Church in unity with a love for Christ and His Kingdom.
Chair: Bruce Adkins.
Episcopal Church Women Supporting the Church in unity with a love for Christ and His Kingdom.

The
Episcopal Church Women of Christ Church fundraises through food and craft sales, hosts internal and external meetings as well as receptions, and provides financial support to a variety of organizations.
Fellowship Commission Establishing opportunities for true Christian fellowship.

The Fellowship Commission encourages and supports relationship and community among the Christ Church family by providing opportunities for social engagement among its members, guests, and visitors.
Finance Commission Supervising the monetary aspects of Parish stewardship.
Chair: Bob McGann.
The Finance Commission ensures that Christ Episcopal Church is in sound financial health and that its financial activities are conducted in a businesslike manner in accordance with the canons.
Food Pantry Providing for those in our local community who find themselves in need of support in their daily lives.
Chair: Roy and Stephanie Smith.
The
Christ Church Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:00 am to Noon. Our all-volunteer Food Pantry serves 60-plus families twice a month. We are now accepting new enrollments.
Music/Choir Contributing to the joy of worship through song.

The Music Ministry lifts the hearts of service and event attendees through hymns and other music appropriate to the season.
Newcomers Commission Helping to make Christ Church a welcoming home to all.

The
Newcomers Commission welcomes visitors and orients new members to Christ Church. We strive to turn our congregation into a community.
Outreach Commission Striving to bring the light of Christ to the world.
Chair: Allen Bareford.
The Outreach Commission of Christ Church supports parish ministries that serve our local community and beyond. These ministries are funded through the church budget, by the generous donations of members of the parish along with small grants from the Diocese and outside organizations, such as the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. The Commission supports many of our church’s ministries.
Parish Care Commission Providing support and ministry to the members of Christ Church.

Property Commission Promoting good Parish stewardship to the property given to us by God.

The Property Commission assists the Junior Warden with the upkeep, repair, improvement, and beautification of the church buildings and grounds.
St. Francis Pet Ministry: Helping all God’s creatures

The
St. Francis Pet Ministry provides spiritual and limited financial resources, comfort, and pastoral care to all God’s creatures and the individuals that love and care for them in the Spotsylvania community.
Thrift Shop Serving our local community with quality items at affordable prices.
The
Thrift Shop serves our local community with gently used clothing, household items, furniture, etc. Shop. Donate. Volunteer.
Worship Commission Enabling honest, heartfelt worship every Sunday.

The Worship Commission advises and supports the Rector in the planning and conduct of worship for each liturgical season and holidays. We also plan special services such as the St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals and the Blue Christmas service.
